Project Overview

An 8 kW solar-powered borehole pumping system with battery storage, delivering reliable and cost-effective water access in Kajiado, Kenya.

Kerarapón Borehole required a reliable and cost-effective energy solution for water pumping. We designed and installed an 8 kW solar photovoltaic system with 10 kWh of battery storage to support reliable borehole pumping operations.

The solar panels generate electricity during daylight hours, while the 10 kWh battery bank stores excess energy for use when solar production is low or during periods without sunlight. This configuration improves system reliability and reduces dependence on grid electricity and fuel-powered generators.

The completed system provides dependable energy for borehole water pumping and supports consistent water access for the residence.
